Things of Importance

Sometimes in life, you are required to assess the things of importance to you. So tonight, I will enlighten you to a few of those things.
I like to refer to them as the five F's; faith, family, food, fun, and fitness, basically in that order.

Let's go more into family. As dysfunctional and nontraditional as my little family is. It still remains the most important thing in my life, more specifically, Liam Grae remains the most important thing in my life, aside from my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

Liam Grae is my why to everything I do. He's my reason to push through hard things, my biggest fan, my workout and hiking buddy and so much more.
Things that I love about my 19 month old ball of fun:
  • his favorite words "uh" and "oh"
  • his skills in dancing, especially on the table
  • his love for pad thai, curry, and spicy things
  • his willingness to hang on my back through every hike I've forced him on
  • his patience while I'm away at work and school
  • his freely shared hugs and kisses
  • his joy when I'm there when he wakes up
  • and the list goes on...
Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I had made a different choice, if I didn't have Liam. Things would definitely be easier, and there might have been fewer tears, and I wouldn't have had to put a crying baby back to sleep three times while trying to write this, but ultimately, life would hold less importance. A life without Liam is meaningless now. Because in this life with Liam, I have overcome trials, I have grown through hardships, I have connected with people on deeper levels, I have experienced a mothers love, and I have ultimately grown closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ, which is at the top of my importance list.

There you have it. My second most important thing.

Hello!

Hey everybody! So clearly, it's been a while, but this time I'm here to stay and I'm here to be a bit more consistent. That's partly because I'm in a Social Media Marketing class, which is awesome by the way, but also because, guys, blogging is great! And EVERYBODY should be doing it! Really though, everybody!
Anyways, aside from that, here's a bit of an update on life as of late!
I am single mom to 18 month old Liam Grae.
He's the cutest.

I work a couple days a week at Providence Hall Elementary School in the Special Education department and work nights cleaning the Jordan River Temple. Currently I am attending LDS Business College and I am working towards a degree in Social Media Marketing. But honestly I wish I could take ALL the classes. Every one of my classes right now feels so applicable to anything in life and success and I love it! Except for maybe computer programming, that class is a doozy. I'm a little bit out of my element in there but I'm learning and that has been a lot of fun.
Liam and I live with my parents and my older brother in Riverton, Utah. I am the fifth of six kids. We grew up in Logandale, Nevada but have lived in Riverton for about ten years now. We love it, Riverton is great.
And life keeps going and all is well!

Peace and love my friends!
